Operation paperback
We collect books (no romance novels please) and send them to our military and their families.

Pull tabs
We are collecting the pull tabs from soda and beer cans which go to help pay the parents transportation to and from the Shriners Hospital in Philadelphia, which treats children at no cost.

Plastic bottle caps
We are collecting plastic bottle caps for recycling as prosthetic devices.
 
Medical Equipment Program
which lends medical equipment to our members and their families at NO COST for as long as you need them. Contact Susan Flashman at 301-277-5823 or the Union Hall 301-459-2900.

2017-18 Trips/Events

The 2018 Cruise to Alaska now has 71 people scheduled to go. (this is the largest group our club has ever had sign up for a cruise.) Limited cabins are still available until November 13. After that date the prices will change, but rooms will still be available. The dates of travel are from August 31 - September 7, 2018. There is an optional land and hotel package available for August 29th to August 31st, 2018.
    Brother Warner is working on the 2018 bus trips, but tentatively there will be a trip to Delaware Park leaving from the Knights of Columbus in College Park at 9:30 AM on January 9, 2018. Contact Brother Warner is you are interested in going, as this trip is SOLD OUT, but he has started a wait list. (call 240-472-0438)
     In March, another trip to Delaware Park which will leave from the Union Hall. August 14, 2018 will be another trip to Sight and Sound, with a new show called “Jesus.” Lunch will be a smorgasbord at the Bird-In-Hand Restaurant. The bus will leave from the Hall at 9:15 AM and the price is $115.00. As of this meeting there are only 10 seats remaining, so call Brother Warner to get on the list!
    The new “Mystery” Trip will be on May 1, 2018. It is already SOLD OUT, BUT Brother Warner has started another wait list. It will leave from the Union Hall at 6:30 AM. If you already signed up, please send $89.00 to Rick. (see Roster for address, or call him.)                                                     
    Our annual pilgrimage to the Amish Market will be July 19, 2018 followed by a Crab Feast at Suicide Bridge is $70.00 per person and there are currently 20 seats available.
