Babbel is now available through the JATC

The JATC is now offering a course on Babbel to learn Spanish or English for our Spanish-speaking members. Babbel is a subscription-based language learning platform accessible via website and mobile app. Lessons focus on reading, writing, listening, and speaking, utilizing exercises and repetition.

Local 26 members now have the opportunity to learn Spanish or English through Babbel. Follow the steps below to enroll…
How to Enroll in Babbel:

1. Login to your TradeSchool account. Don’t have an account? Visit https://www.jatc26.org/tradeschool/access/ and set up an account.
2. In your account find the Class Schedule tab. Enter 5259 in the Search for Classes box on the right side of the screen.
3. Read the class description for class “I Want to use Babbel, Verify I am a Member in Good Standing.” Available in English to Spanish and Spanish to English.
4. Click the green shopping cart icon.
5. Click the Proceed to Checkout link.
6. Class 5259 does not have a fee. Purchase the class for $0.00.

Local 26 will see your request and research your membership status. If you are a member in good standing, you will get an email with a class code.

1. Enter the code into the Enter Special Class Code search box back on the Class Schedule tab.
2. Add class “I Have Been Approved, Pay $25 for Babbel Access” to your shopping cart and check out. This class has a $25 fee.
3. Wait for your invite email from Babble, this could take Local 26 a few days to process requests.
4. Follow the instructions in your email from Babble. Enjoy your six months of access to Babbel. If you don’t use the software, Local 26 may suspend your account before the six months of access is over and reassign your license to another member waiting for access, as there is limited access to this class.
