Inside Wireman/Journeyman Travelers
Out-of-town members need to complete these steps to start working with Local 26

follow these steps:
STEP 1: eligibility
To sign the books, travelers must provide the following:
Photo ID or Driver’s License
Current paid dues receipt
Current Letter of Introduction or Travel Letter from your home Local (dated within one year)
Termination slip (if you previously worked a job through Local 26)
Completed available-to-work form
Important: If you are on furlough, you may not sign any out-of-work list. While on furlough, you are still considered employed by your contractor and must remain in contact with them as instructed regarding your return to work.
Submission Guidelines
Please note: All documents must be submitted at the same time (in one email or upload). Submitting items separately will delay your registration on the Available-for-Work list. You will not be registered until all required documentation is received.
Step 2: Signing the Daybook
Signing is available Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM EST only.
If you sign in outside of this time frame, your entry will be deleted.
All members must be available by phone between 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM EST for job calls.
AJW 30 Day Re-sign
Re-sign is required each month between the 1st and the 25th.

Local 26 portability check-in
A traveling contractor is allowed to bring into another jurisdiction a limited number of bargaining unit employees already on the payroll who are knowledgeable of the contractor’s work practices and customers’ requirements for startup and completion of work to be performed. Any bargaining unit employee being assigned into the jurisdiction of another Local Union under this agreement must have been employed by the Inside or Outside traveling contractor for a period of not less than two (2) weeks immediately prior to traveling to the job where the work is to be performed unless a lesser period is agreeable with the receiving Local Union.
