The IBEW Local 26 Field Internship is an opportunity for paid on-the-job training in a professional construction environment and a gateway to a lucrative and fulfilling career as a union electrician. You must be ready to arrive at work on time, often as early as 5:00 or 6:00 a.m., and work safely on job sites where our standards are high.
Field Internship Eligibility and Pay Guidelines
May work unlimited hours between the second Monday in May and the second Friday in September, as well as between the second Monday in December and the second Friday in January.
Must be 17 years of age or older.
The minimum rate of pay is $15.00 per hour. After completing 500 hours of work, the minimum rate increases to $16.00 per hour.
